    Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE) recognizes that parents are their child’s first and most important teachers. ECFE offers parents hands-on learning experiences and parenting discussions that will help for the building blocks for a lifetime of learning. Registration for Current ECFE Families begins Monday, April 15th Registration for Public begins Monday, April 22nd at 8am. What happens in an ECFE class? 1. Parent and child interaction time: A licensed early childhood teacher and assistant provide developmentally appropriate activities, songs and stories for parents and children to enjoy together. 2. Child time: A time devoted to learning through play and activities with licensed teachers and assistants while parents participate in a parent discussion time in a separate room. 3. Parent Time: Parents or caregivers participate in a discussion led by a licensed parent educator. Joys and challenges of parenting are shared and topic discussions are designed to address the developmental needs of each group. Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE) classes meet once a week. In our Baby & You class you will learn about the importance of these early years and what you can do to promote healthy development. Our Grandparents Class provides an excellent opportunity for you to play and explore the classroom with your grandchild(ren). ECFE offers grandparents hands-on learning experiences and discussions specific to their grandchild's age that will help build the foundation for a lifetime of learning. What happens in an ECFE class? 1. We realize separation from one year olds can be difficult and will begin a gradual separation when each group is ready.     Join us as we enjoy the outdoors in local parks with our ECFE families. This class will include movement, activites, books and lots of fresh air. What a great chance to play and connect with other families! Parents and children attend together. For families from babies to Pre -K.

  • Cloquet School Readiness

    The Cloquet School Readiness is a Parent Aware 4- star rated program for children ages 3-5. Our creative, thoughtful and age appropriate curriculum helps prepare children to enter kindergarten with the skills necessary for success! With an emphasis on creative play, music and movement we develop skills such as listening, following directions, taking turns and pre academics. Our teachers adapt lesson plans and goals to meet individual needs and regularly share progress and assessment data with parents. Staff are trained to work with children’s developmental needs so that all students can experience growth and have the necessary tools to be successful in kindergarten. Children must be potty trained to attend. Summer Childcare Registration - Begins Monday, March 18th.
