  • CLOQUET CHS PEP SQUAD FALL SEASON (GRADES 9-12)

    Instructors: Katelyn and Deb Carter Participants will practice four days a week starting July 29 and perform this fall at the home games for CHS Varsity Football. They will perform cheers, sideline dance routines and half-time performance routines. On the sidelines, they will promote positive school spirit and sportsmanship by interacting with the audience. PREVIOUS DANCE EXPERIENCE IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Required parent or guardian/student meeting on Tuesday, July 30 from 6-7:30 PM in the CMS Cafeteria. Summer practices are Monday-Thursday, July 29-August 29 from 7:30-9:30 AM in the CHS Wrestling Gym. Fall practices are Monday-Thursday, September 4-October 31 from 3:45-5:45 PM in the CHS Wrestling Gym (3:30-5:30 on Wednesdays in the CHS Wrestling Gym) **We will practice a couple times a week outside on the CHS track/field weather permitting.     New location!!! Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College. Each week players will be separated into different teams. There is no league. This is drop in.   • Gentle Yoga flow

    This class is designed to break down the foundations of yoga postures, allowing time to deepen awareness in the body and mind as we link breath and movement. We use an internal focus to bring calm and consciousness to the mind. We will work through seated (floor) and standing postures. We will be moving though some postures that are weight bearing on hands and knees. There will always be options to modify or advance poses depending on your level. It is always encouraged to listen to your body and avoid or modify poses when needed. We will end class with a well-deserved relaxation to integrate all the work we did and bring balance to the body. Beginner focus and all levels are welcome. Yoga mat required.P Please choose the correct payment option for a single day of the Gentle Yoga Class or the full session.

  • Pep Squad JR Cheer Camp for Labor Day Parade K-8

    The JR Cheer Camp is open to students who have completed Kindergarten to those entering Grade 8. The Cloquet High School Pep Squad team and coaches will teach the Cloquet School Song and a few Lumberjack cheers to the JR Cheer Camp participants. A CHS Pep Squad t-shirt and a pair of rooter poms is included in the fee. We will show off our skills to the community in the Labor Day Parade on September 2nd.   • Pep Squad Skills & Technique Camp (Grades 9-12)

    Optional skills/technique camp for the purpose of preparing for participation in Pep Squad. This camp will focus on building skills in jumps, leaps & turns as well as focusing on building core for strength and movement control. Open to all 9th -12th grade students. PREVIOUS DANCE EXPERIENCE IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. This camp will be beneficial for students planning to join the Pep Squad and for those who plan to join a college cheer/dance team in the future. The Pep Squad Skills & Technique Camp is taught by the CHS Pep Squad coaching staff.

We have 2, 6 week sessions available: Cloquet High School, Door #17 Bonus Session Hot Shots "invite only" 8:00 AM - 9:00 AM Session 1: 2-3 year old 9:00 AM - 9:45 AM Session 2: 4 year old 9:45 AM - 10:30 AM Session 3: 5-8 year old 10:30 AM - 11:15 AM Session 4: 9 + year old and older 11:20 AM - 12:10 PM Session 5: Advanced/team invite only 12:10 PM - 1:40 PM Please let your child wear tight fitting cloth, gymnastic shoes (or barefoot) and hair up!   • Virtual Challenge Tour De The MN Border sign to Grand Portage

    May 1 - August 31, 2024 Are you up for the challenge? Virtually exercise the equivalent of 403 miles from the MN Border sign to Grand Portage Minnesota between May 1 and August 31. Once you reach the virtual finish line, you will receive a medal and an entry into the grand prize drawing. You can enter either as an individual or include your entire family in on the challenge! If entered as a family, each family member will need to complete the 403 miles. If running or walking, count each mile as a mile. For all other types of exercise, 20 minutes = 1 mile. We will have further directions on posting your miles you have completed after May 1 on our website, download from our website, or keep track by Fitbit or other technology. Once you complete the challenge, turn in your calendar or email us at cloquetcommunityed.org Calendars or challenge completion notifications must be turned in by Sept 6 to be entered in the drawing. Once you have reached the virtual finish line you will receive a medal and an entry into the grand prize drawing. (Prize TBD) When registering a family please provide names and ages.
