  • Basic Dog Obedience

    Bring your dog (6 months and older) to learn basic commands: come, sit, lay down, and stay. Learn how to walk your dog comfortably on a leash (no flexy leash/leads), and how to pay attention to you instead of other dogs or distractions. Participants must be adult or at least 12 years old (and anyone under 15 must have a parent present) . Orientation is first night of class 6-7pm NO DOGS FIRST NIGHT. Must have proof of current rabies vaccination and certificate must be brought to class the first night. All participants must sign a liability waiver. CDC guidelines will be followed, including distancing and maximum number of participants. Instructor Jennifer Jablonski is a trainer at Twin Ports Dog Training Club.

    In this class, we will learn the basics of maps, compasses, and using them together to get ourselves from point A to B. The whole class will take place outdoors, please dress for the weather and prepare for the chance of bugs. All mobility abilities welcome: please note if you have mobility concerns during registration so that accommodations can be made.     This year's summer theater camp is offered for students from grades 2-9. These students aren’t only going into a new grade but they also get to explore the inner workings of Theater. The activities kids will experience in the camp range from creating their plays in small groups to exploring Cloquet’s High School auditorium. Students will learn the different parts of backstage and acting, as well as some fun theater games that are commonly used in CHS’s theater program. The goal of this camp is to teach kids about the moving parts of theater and get them excited to join the musicals and plays that the community may put on. The week cumulates on Showcase Friday where the older students (grades 6 - 9) will perform improv type plays. All students will showcase their skills during the station part of the schedule. Family and friends are invited free of charge. Friday schedule for all camp participants: 1 - 3 pm stations 3 - 5:30 pm performance (Grade is based on fall 2024)
