Our BeachPinehurst Park is a great place to go for a swim with filtered, chlorinated water and a sand-bottom. Located in Cloquet, Minnesota. Just off Hwy 33 - at the intersection of 33 and Carlton Avenue.
In this class, we will learn the basics of maps, compasses, and using them together to get ourselves from point A to B. The whole class will take place outdoors, please dress for the weather and prepare for the chance of bugs. All mobility abilities welcome: please note if you have mobility concerns during registration so that accommodations can be made.
Prerequisites: None, Supplies/Resources provided by instructor, No equipment needed
Optional: If students would like to purchase a compass to take home they can bring $20 to be paid to the instructor the night of class
Anna Swarts (she/her/hers) is an adventure-loving instructor. She loves adventures and being active outdoors and strives to create a supportive space to help others do the same. She's certified as a Wilderness First Responder and in Leave No Trace ethics.
