    Point of Impact Parent Meeting

For parents of teens that participated in Drivers Education in 2024 - 25 (all classes). Meeting is free, but you must register to attend. Please call 879-1261 for questions. The more you understand teen driving risks, laws, and effective communication strategies, the better equipped you’ll be to guide your teen toward becoming a confident, safe driver. Join us for a 90-minute class designed for both parents and teens. In this session, you’ll discover proven techniques to improve your driving instruction and help your teen develop responsible habits on the road. You’ll also learn about essential updates to the rules for first-time drivers, including the requirement for new drivers to log 50 hours of driving with their permit. Find out how attending a Cloquet Community Education Point of Impact (POI) meeting can help reduce that requirement by 10 hours! Parents and guardians are encouraged to log as many additional hours as possible, providing valuable practice to ensure their teen is fully prepared for a safe driving experience. Remember, the driving log must be submitted with the provisional license during the road test. We look forward to working with you to give your teen the best training and preparation for a safe future behind the wheel. We strongly encourage teens to attend with their parents or guardians.
