Our fully online classroom curriculum was designed with the Minnesota student in mind and utilizes proven teaching methods that will keep the student engaged throughout the learning process. When registering please use the student’s full legal name (including middle name) and student's date of birth as shown on their birth certificate. Students must be at least 14 1/2 years of age to register. Registration cost for Cloquet Community Education does not include the online school cost of $20 which is paid when you register for the online classes. Please make sure your student is disciplined enough to be successful with online instruction. After the online classroom is completed, your student will receive a Blue E card from the DMV which allows them to take the knowledge test.

    Drivers Education - Classroom and Behind The Wheel Instruction

    Cloquet Community Education offers Drivers Education to Cloquet (including CAAEP) and Fond du Lac students only. We do verify enrollment. If you are open enrolled in our district, you must call the Community Education office to enroll in the class at 879-1261. Get ready to hit the road with our exciting and engaging Driver's Education program! This comprehensive course offers 30 hours of interactive classroom instruction, where you'll learn all the essentials of safe driving, plus six hours of hands-on behind-the-wheel training to build your confidence and skills on the road. Class participation is key—attendance is mandatory, as completing the full 30 hours of classroom instruction is required before you can take the permit test. Once you've successfully finished the classroom portion, you'll be paired with a professional Behind the Wheel instructor, and you'll receive your blue E-card, giving you the green light to take your permit test and start your driving journey! Join us and start your road to independence with the skills and knowledge you'll need to drive safely and confidently.
