Point of Impact: Helping Parents & Teens Navigate the Road to Safe Driving For parents/guardians of teens who participated in Driver’s Education in 2025–26 (all classes) FREE 90-Minute Session — Registration Required Questions? Call 879-1261 Give your teen the best start behind the wheel. The more you understand teen driving risks, Minnesota driving laws, and effective communication strategies, the better prepared you’ll be to guide your teen toward becoming a confident, safe driver. In this interactive 90-minute session, you and your teen will: Learn proven techniques to make driving instruction less stressful and more effective Get the latest updates on Minnesota’s licensing process for first-time drivers Understand the 50-hour driving log requirement — and how attending a Point of Impact (POI) meeting can reduce that requirement by 10 hours Discover ways to give your teen more meaningful practice time behind the wheel Why attend? Driving is one of the most important (and risky) milestones in a teen’s life. This session equips both parents and teens with tools, tips, and knowledge to build safe, responsible driving habits from day one. Parents are encouraged to log as many practice hours as possible to ensure teens are ready for their road test — remember, the driving log must be submitted with the provisional license application. Who should attend: Parents, guardians, and teens — we strongly encourage attending together for the best learning experience.

Cloquet Community Education offers Drivers Education to Cloquet (including CAAEP) and Fond du Lac students only. We do verify enrollment. If you are open enrolled in our district, you must call the Community Education office to enroll in the class at 879-1261. Get ready to hit the road with our exciting and engaging Driver's Education program! This comprehensive course offers 30 hours of interactive classroom instruction, where you'll learn all the essentials of safe driving, plus six hours of hands-on behind-the-wheel training to build your confidence and skills on the road. Class participation is key—attendance is mandatory, as completing the full 30 hours of classroom instruction is required before you can take the permit test. Once you've successfully finished the classroom portion, you'll be paired with a professional Behind the Wheel instructor, and you'll receive your blue E-card, giving you the green light to take your permit test and start your driving journey! Join us and start your road to independence with the skills and knowledge you'll need to drive safely and confidently. If you choose to make payments on the class fee, the second payment will be due October 1 for the September class, February 1 for the January class, and May 1 for the April class.
