Discover the art and technique of drone photography in this engaging hands-on 3 hour session. Perfect for beginners and hobbyists, this workshop will introduce you to the essentials of flying and. capturing aerial imagery. You will need to bring your own drone.
What You'll Learn:
1. Drone Basics: Overview of drone types, controls, and safety guidelines. Will briefly discuss high level topics of what is asked on part 107 testing (needed to professionally fly a drone) Understanding local drone regulations and where you can legally fly.
2. Composition from Above: Learn how to compose striking aerial photos. Tips for framing landscapes, buildings, and patterns from a bird’s-eye view.
4. Practical Flight Experience: Hands-on flying experience under guided supervision. Practice flying, taking photos and videos in a safe, open area in Carlton. NOTE: participants will need to drive themselves from the classroom to the drone site in Carlton.
**** Class will start at the Community Ed conference room and conclude In Carlton. Address will be given out in class.
Prerequisite: Participants should have general knowledge of how to use their drone
Supplies needed: A charged drone and its controller. A spare charged drone battery and drone battery charger, smartphone or tablet (if required for your drone). Comfortable clothing, jacket and shoes for outdoor practice.
Amy Arntson of Northern Huddle Photography is a licensed drone pilot. She is experienced in taking aerial photos for real estate agencies, construction companies, builder companies and roofing companies.
