Intro to Photography

Enrichment and Recreation / Arts/Crafts/Hobbies -
Spring/Summer 2025

This class is intended for relative new-comers to photography, those who would like to review some of the basics, or people who have been shooting for a while but want to learn how to use their camera's manual settings to create more interesting images. Topics covered will include Composition, the Exposure Triangle and how its elements affect one another, Depth of Field, Focus (manual as well as the different auto modes), and how to utilize manual camera settings for artistic effect. If time permits, we will also touch on a few advanced topics such as Focus Stacking, and White Balance.

Any amateur photographer will benefit, but those with a DSLR, mirrorless, or other camera that has at least some manual settings will gain the most. Participants will need to bring their own camera.
