Wendy traveled to Japan for a month in 2024 - partly exploring Tokyo and Kyoto, also volunteering in Okazaki, and visiting Duluth's Sister City. The culture of Japan is fascinating - a blend of long-time traditions and new breaking edge advancements.

She has taught college biology, worked as a stormwater pollution prevention educator, organizes day trips to arts, music, history and nature places and events, gives programs on travel and local history, plays and teached mountain and hammered dulcimers, likes to try new things, and has a one-eyed cat.
