Creating a Native Pollinator Garden

Enrichment and Recreation / Arts/Crafts/Hobbies -
Spring/Summer 2026

In this practical, experience-based class, you’ll learn how to design and grow a successful native pollinator garden. Drawing from the instructor’s firsthand experience, we’ll explore why native pollinators are essential to healthy ecosystems and how your garden can support them.

Topics include site planning (sun, soil, and plant selection), choosing regionally appropriate native plants for season-long blooms, creating habitat features for different pollinator species, and understanding maintenance during establishment and long-term care. Participants will also receive a curated list of high-quality online resources to support their planning and ongoing success. Perfect for beginners and gardeners looking to create a beautiful, low-maintenance landscape that supports local wildlife.
