Li'l Lumberjacks Programs


Infant: (6 weeks to 12 months) Our staff provides a loving atmosphere where intellectual and physical development are stimulated with music, literacy, language, muscle development and exploration of the environment using age-appropriate equipment.

The teacher to child ratio is 1 to 4.

Infant/Toddler Transition: (12 months to 24 months)

This classroom provides an opportunity for your child to be more mobile and practice their new found skills.
Activities include:

  • Large and small motor skills  
  • Music
  • Sign Language
  • Socialization Skills
  • Exploring Textures

The teacher to child ratio is 1 to 4.

Toddler: (24 months to 36 months) Toddlers are cared for in a stimulating classroom with age-appropriate equipment. Program plans include activities such as:

  • Potty teaching
  • Circle Time
  • Art
  • Exploration and Discovery
  • Encouraging Large Muscle Coordination

 The teacher to child ratio is 1 to 7.

Preschool: (3, 4, and 5 year olds) Our preschool program implements Creative Curriculum while working together with School District Kindergarten teachers and ECFE staff to prepare your child for kindergarten. 

Our daily schedule includes the following activities:   

  • Kindergarten Readiness skills    
  • Circle Time (Calendar, weather, classroom rules)
  • Music, Art and Dramatic Play
  • Literacy Activities
  • Math, Science & Construction  
  • Fine Motor Development
  • Second Step (bullying prevention curriculum)
  • Community Exploration
  • Socialization
  • Large Muscle Activities

The classrooms are arranged into learning centers which provide the children with many self-directed learning opportunities as well as small group opportunities with peers and teachers.
The teacher to child ratio is 1 to 10.

We also partner with the Foster Grandparent program. Our foster grandma comes in daily to read, play, and interact with our children.

There is also the Cadet program for high school students to earn credit toward graduation by volunteering in our center. This also lowers the ratio of children per adult and provides extra help when needed.
