Power Lunch Program
This year's summer theater camp is offered for students from grades 2-9. These students aren’t only going into a new grade but they also get to explore the inner workings of Theater. The activities kids will experience in the camp range from creating their plays in small groups to exploring Cloquet’s High School auditorium. Students will learn the different parts of backstage and acting, as well as some fun theater games that are commonly used in CHS’s theater program. The goal of this camp is to teach kids about the moving parts of theater and get them excited to join the musicals and plays that the community may put on.
The week cumulates on Showcase Friday where the older students (grades 6 - 9) will perform an improv type play. All students will showcase their skills during the stations part of the schedule. Family and friends are invited free of charge.
Friday schedule for all camp participants:
1 - 3 pm stations
3 - 5:30 pm performance
(Grade is based on fall 2024)
This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.
