  • Beach Pass - Summer 2024

    Individual or Family pass for The Beach at Pinehurst Park. $109 Family pass for the 2024 season ($89 before May 20) $59 Individual pass ($49 before May 20) Each Family pass will allow up to 2 adults, and all children from the same household, access to The Beach during normal business hours. (Under age 1 is free) Please register each family member separately. Register the first adult at the price of the Family pass. Register the second adult and children as "additional family member" and include who the paying adult is on your pass. Your pass is kept in our software. You will check in each day you attend. Please note: All swimmers, 11 and under, will be required to wear a life jacket outside of the Canoe and Frog slide areas, or 9-11 year olds can test out of life jacket requirement, or show that they passed level 4 certificate issued by Cloquet Community Ed. Group Homes/Childcares: Please call 879-1261 to register. Summer 2024 price is $169 Private Rentals Beach Rules and FAQ Patrons can bring food to the Beach. We will have vending machines and ice cream available to purchase at the desk. Please no glass, alcoholic beverages, grills, potlucks or birthday cakes. The pavilion outside of the Beach is available to rent for birthday parties. In order to keep the area clean, we are asking for patrons to pack in, pack out. Beach is closed Wednesday, June 19th for Juneteenth. We have scholarships available for season passes for families that have a qualifying child who is receiving Educational Benefits. To apply for a scholarship, please go to this link. We will verify eligibility before awarding scholarships. If you receive a scholarship, you will be contacted.

    If you would like to receive a text for when the Beach at Pinehurst closes for weather or other reasons, please sign up here. We must have a valid cell number to text. Please only register adults in this course. You only need to register once. Some cell phone companies do block our texts. Tap Unblock. Otherwise, tap Back We do not know of a fix for Iphones. If you need to be removed from text alerts for the Beach, please call our office at 218-879-1261.   • Lifeguard Certification information

    Do you have a teen looking for their first job? Do they like the water? If so, being a lifeguard is a wonderful first job or new job for a student! (Adults are also welcome to join our fun team!!) Teens must be 15 years old before they can work at the Beach or the CMS pool. If your teen is interested in working at the Beach or at the CMS pool during the school year, please have them complete this registration. We will reach out to them once we have the class dates/times. Preliminary swim test to go through certification includes the following: Basic Lifeguard*: Swim 300 yards (12 pool lengths) continuously demonstrating breath control and rhythmic breathing. Candidates may swim using the front crawl, breaststroke or a combination of both but swimming on the back or side is not allowed. Swim goggles may be used. Tread water for 2 minutes using only the legs. Candidates should place their hands under the armpits. Complete a timed event within 1 minute, 40 seconds: Start in the water at the shallow end of the pool, and swim to the far end of the pool. Retrieve the 10-pound brick off the bottom of the deep end and return to the shallow end of the pool while swimming on your back with both hands on the brick. Upon arrival at the shallow end of the pool, exit the water without using the steps or ladder. Goggles are not allowed for this skill.
  • Teen Beach daily pass

    Registration for teens dropping in at the Beach who are purchasing a daily pass. Teens must be at least 12 years old to swim at the Beach without a parent present. Please register them and include emergency contact information before dropping them off. Daily pass is $5 and is paid at the Beach. Thank you.
