  • Basic Dog Obedience

    Bring your dog (6 months and older) to learn basic commands: come, sit, lay down, and stay. Learn how to walk your dog comfortably on a leash (no flexy leash/leads), and how to pay attention to you instead of other dogs or distractions. Participants must be adult or at least 12 years old (and anyone under 15 must have a parent present) . Orientation is first night of class 6-7pm NO DOGS FIRST NIGHT. Must have proof of current rabies vaccination and certificate must be brought to class the first night. All participants must sign a liability waiver. CDC guidelines will be followed, including distancing and maximum number of participants. Instructor Jennifer Jablonski is a trainer at Twin Ports Dog Training Club.

    In this class, we will learn the basics of maps, compasses, and using them together to get ourselves from point A to B. The whole class will take place outdoors, please dress for the weather and prepare for the chance of bugs.     Individual or Family pass for The Beach at Pinehurst Park. $109 Family pass for the 2024 season ($89 before May 20) $59 Individual pass ($49 before May 20) Each Family pass will allow up to 2 adults, and all children from the same household, access to The Beach during normal business hours. (Under age 1 is free) Please register each family member separately. Register the first adult at the price of the Family pass. Register the second adult and children as "additional family member" and include who the paying adult is on your pass. Your pass is kept in our software. You will check in each day you attend. Please note: All swimmers, 11 and under, will be required to wear a life jacket outside of the Canoe and Frog slide areas, or 9-11 year olds can test out of life jacket requirement, or show that they passed level 4 certificate issued by Cloquet Community Ed. Group Homes/Childcares: Please call 879-1261 to register. Summer 2024 price is $169 Private Rentals Beach Rules and FAQ Patrons can bring food to the Beach. We will have vending machines and ice cream available to purchase at the desk. Please no glass, alcoholic beverages, grills, potlucks or birthday cakes. The pavilion outside of the Beach is available to rent for birthday parties. In order to keep the area clean, we are asking for patrons to pack in, pack out. Beach is closed Wednesday, June 19th for Juneteenth. We have scholarships available for season passes for families that have a qualifying child who is receiving Educational Benefits. To apply for a scholarship, please go to this link. We will verify eligibility before awarding scholarships. If you receive a scholarship, you will be contacted.

    Let's have fun and learn how to make Burmese curry from scratch. We’ll make a version of Mandalay Mouti Thoke, chicken yellow curry with noodles. We’ll start with making egg noodles from scratch and we’ll also make curry with chicken from scratch. While the curry is cooking, we’ll roll out, cut, and cook the noodles. We’ll also have salad as a side dish.

    Instructors: Katelyn and Deb Carter Participants will practice four days a week starting July 29 and perform this fall at the home games for CHS Varsity Football. They will perform cheers, sideline dance routines and half-time performance routines. On the sidelines, they will promote positive school spirit and sportsmanship by interacting with the audience. PREVIOUS DANCE EXPERIENCE IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Required parent or guardian/student meeting on Tuesday, July 30 from 6-7:30 PM in the CMS Cafeteria.
