  • Basic Backyard Bird Feeding

    Decoding the variables of bird feeding: food, feeders, species and seasons. Stop buying seed that birds don't eat and feeders that birds don't use... the squirrels, deer and bears can find their own food! With a few simple tips, you'll increase the variety and number of birds coming to your feeders and decrease the dollars you spend on wasted food. We'll cover nectar, seeds, suet and nuts, as well as different feeder types.
  • Basic Dog Obedience

    Bring your dog (6 months and older) to learn basic commands: come, sit, lay down, and stay. Learn how to walk your dog comfortably on a leash (no flexy leash/leads), and how to pay attention to you instead of other dogs or distractions. Participants must be adult or at least 12 years old (and anyone under 15 must have a parent present) . Orientation is first night of class 6-7pm NO DOGS FIRST NIGHT. Must have proof of current rabies vaccination and certificate must be brought to class the first night. All participants must sign a liability waiver. CDC guidelines will be followed, including distancing and maximum number of participants. Instructor Jennifer Jablonski is a trainer at Twin Ports Dog Training Club.

How to get started bullet journalling, how to pick supplies (so so many!!!), how to set up a bullet journal (index, year, monthly, weekly logs, habit trackers, keys, and collections), and resources to help the beginner bullet journaler.
  • CLOQUET CHS PEP SQUAD FALL SEASON (GRADES 9-12)

    Instructors: Katelyn and Deb Carter Participants will practice four days a week starting July 29 and perform this fall at the home games for CHS Varsity Football. They will perform cheers, sideline dance routines and half-time performance routines. On the sidelines, they will promote positive school spirit and sportsmanship by interacting with the audience. PREVIOUS DANCE EXPERIENCE IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Required parent or guardian/student meeting on Tuesday, July 30 from 6-7:30 PM in the CMS Cafeteria. Summer practices are Monday-Thursday, July 29-August 29 from 7:30-9:30 AM in the CHS Wrestling Gym. Fall practices are Monday-Thursday, September 4-October 31 from 3:45-5:45 PM in the CHS Wrestling Gym (3:30-5:30 on Wednesdays in the CHS Wrestling Gym) **We will practice a couple times a week outside on the CHS track/field weather permitting.     Thank you for your interest in teaching a class with Cloquet Community Education & Recreation. Teaching a class is a great way to share your knowledge and skills with youth and/or adults in our community. We expect you to have a passion for your subject and a level of professionalism that will reflect well on our school and community. If your application is accepted, you will be required to attend a class planning meeting with the program coordinator. In addition, a criminal background check through ISD #94 is required.
